Performing due diligence on economic impact studies

Our panelists discuss the various economic models used and the one they prefer most; the due diligence items that should be reviewed such as impact area of study; construction costs that should be excluded; verification of inputs used; reasonableness of inputs used: use of 2007 v. 2010 data. 

Questionable methodologies that are currently being accepted by USCIS were discussed; most common RFEs related to the economic study; bridge financing and the nexus between investment and job creation; TEA designations, verifying the accuracy of state TEA letters and census tract aggregation.
